What is a Subdivision?
A subdivision is a way to add divisions to a single supplier, so you don't have to create several standalone supplier documents in your supply chain overview. A subdivision works just like a regular supplier page β it gives you another view of your supplier, where the data and information can differ from the main (default) tab.
If you prefer, you can also still create several standalone supplier documents in your supply chain overview instead of using subdivisions.
Creating a Subdivision
Navigate to the supplier you want to add a subdivision to.
Click the blue Add Subdivision button on the right.
Fill in the following fields:
Subdivision Name β the name of the subdivision
External ID β an external ID for the subdivision
Confirm to create the subdivision.
Once created, the subdivision will appear as a new tab at the top of your supplier page.
Working with Subdivisions
When you open a subdivision, you get another view of your supplier. From here, all the data and information on the subdivision can differ from the main (default) tab.
A subdivision works in the same way as the supplier page itself, meaning you can manage data, attributes, and other information independently from the main supplier.
