Overview of the Update
The supplier module has been updated to align more closely with the other document types in Prduct (e.g. products and components). This means that as an experienced user, you can work with suppliers in the same way you already know from other document overviews.
Supplier Tabs
When you navigate into a supplier, you will see the following tabs:
Company
Notes
Files
Chat
Top Tasks
Regulations
Supplier Rating
Due Diligence
Data (new tab)
The new Data tab works in the same way as the data tabs on other document pages, including the DAM page as well as products and components.
Working with Attributes on the Data Tab
On the Data tab, you can work with attributes exactly as you know it from other document types.
On the left-hand side of the Data tab, you can see all the attributes that are available via the supplier's data model.
You can show or hide attributes directly from the left-hand side.
The attributes come from the data model attached to the supplier.
Data Models for Suppliers
For attributes to be usable on the supplier module, they must be made available for the document type Organizations.
Once the data model is attached, all attributes from the model will be visible on the left-hand side of the Data tab on the supplier.
Note: If you want to add standalone attributes that are not part of the attached datamodel, click the completeness score and add from the popup.
Custom Attributes
When you create custom attributes that you want to use on the supplier module, you need to make sure they are made available for the document type Organizations. Only then can they be added to an Organizations data model (or added seperately) and used on your suppliers.
Certificates on Suppliers
You can work with certificates on suppliers in exactly the same way as you work with certificates on other document types. This means you can attach, mass-edit, renew, and collect certificates on suppliers using the same functions described in the certifications guide.
