You can customize all predefined attributes that use a dropdown (select) field for example, Material Type, Country of Origin etc. You can add, remove, or edit the options shown in these dropdowns to ensure they match your company’s data standards or supplier terminology.

Be aware: this is for changing the predefined attributes - if you want to make your own custom attributes from scratch then read more here

How to customize the options in predefined attributes

  1. Find the Data Model tab in the data section.

  2. Scroll down and locate the section called "Custom Lists for Predefined Select Attributes".

  3. You’ll see a list of all predefined attributes that use dropdown menus.

  4. Click "Edit" on the attribute you want to customize. In this pop-up you can se all the options, delete options and add new options. If the attribute has more dropdowns, then change the list in the top.

  5. For each option there is two key fields:

    1. "Option" – the display name shown in the platform.

    2. "JSON Name" – the technical name used for Excel import/export and API integrations. Tip: Keep JSON names short and consistent (no spaces, no underscores).

Import or share your customized predefined attributes

When working with your suppliers it makes the data exchange smoother to use the same lists and drop downs.

This is done from the Data Model tab in the data section. Scroll down and locate the section called "Custom Lists for Predefined Select Attributes". Here you are able to:

  • Import your custom lists of predefined attributes directly from your suppliers or from a datapool to align data formats.

  • Share your custom lists of predefined attributes with suppliers, ensuring they use the same predefined options as you.
